IFPRI Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary in 2015

IFPRI 40th Anniversary2015 is a momentous year for IFPRI as we celebrate our 40th anniversary. IFPRI was organized as a District of Columbia non-profit organization on March 5, 1975. Since then, the Institute has sought to produce and communicate influential research to sustainably reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition.

To mark this occasion, we will have a number of activities and communications that will culminate in a day-long event and evening reception on Wednesday, November 18, in Washington, DC. The substantive program will reflect on lessons from the past 40 years and look forward to the next 40 years to identify major food policy developments as well as challenges and opportunities for achieving food security and nutrition. Please save this date and stay tuned for further details.

I hope that you will join us to reflect on the work of IFPRI over the last 40 years and new areas to which IFPRI can contribute in the 40 years to come.
